Our Experienced Team

David Walton Jr., DVM
Veterinarian and Owner
Dr. David Walton Jr. is a proud graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. In the early 2000s, he took the reins of what was already a 60+ year old veterinary practice and has since guided it into a thriving, modem clinic—expanding the team, adding two additional doctors, and continuing a long tradition of compassionate care.
At home, Dr. Walton’s love for animals extends well beyond the clinic walls. His family includes two dogs, Stanley and Susie; two cats, Squeek and Ford; horses Chico and Penny; along with a lively mix of chickens and cows.
When he’s not caring for patients, you’ll find him farming, traveling, or camping with his wife and daughter. He also enjoys exploring new places and staying focused on health and wellness for himself and his family.
What keeps Dr. Walton inspired every day is the privilege of helping pets live happy, healthy lives—and being there for families through both the joyful and challenging moments of their pets’ care.

Ashley Green, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Ashley Green is a dedicated veterinarian with a strong commitment to providing high-quality medical care and compassionate service to her patients and their families. She is especially passionate about client education, helping pet owners understand how to keep their animals healthy and thriving.
Dr. Green earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in Saint Kitts. Her training provided her with a strong foundation in both small and large animal medicine, which she continues to build on through her daily practice and ongoing professional development.
At home, Dr. Green and her family care for a wide variety of animals, including two pit bulls (Chase and Lily), three Great Pyrenees (Sasha, Sidney, and Charlotte), two cats (Kovu and Kiara), a rabbit (Fluffy), and a herd of 19 goats. Her enthusiasm for raising goats has grown into a special area of interest, and she enjoys sharing her knowledge with others.
Professionally, Dr. Green finds the most fulfillment in solving challenging medical cases. She is energized by the process of working through complex situations to identify the root of a problem and provide effective treatment that improves her patients’ quality of life.
Beyond her veterinary work, Dr. Green values family time with her husband and two sons. She also enjoys reading, baking, and volunteering with 4-H, where she supports youth in developing their own passion for animals.

Nicole Kahmann, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Nicole Kahmann is passionate about making a difference in the lives of animals—and the people who love them. She believes deeply in the power of education and enjoys helping clients understand every aspect of their pets’ health and wellness. Seeing treatments make a meaningful difference in a patient’s recovery is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.
At home, Dr. Kahmann shares life with her Yorkie/Poodle mix, Luna, three cats—Tig, Dexter, and Chicken—and a chameleon named Leon. When she’s not caring for patients, she loves hiking with Luna, reading, traveling, and exploring new places with her fiance.

Elizabeth Wood
Office Manager
Liz keeps our clinic running smoothly since 2017 and is truly the heart of our office. Known as the “office mom,” she’s always there to lend an ear, fix a time card, or offer an encouraging word. As Dr. Walton’s right-hand person, Liz balances budgets, pays the bills, and makes sure everything stays on track behind the scenes.
At home, Liz loves caring for her 23 chickens, 3 ducks, and her cat, Biscuit. Family time with her husband, grown children, and dad is what makes her happiest. A fan of old movies, musicals, and Nora Roberts novels, Liz brings warmth and dedication to everything she does—at home and at the clinic.

Cindy Powell
Manager and Client Service Representative
Cindy brings warmth and dedication to the clinic every day, managing operations while making sure clients and their pets feel right at home. A true Boxer lover, she shares her life with five of them and has a deep passion for preserving and carrying on the lineage of the European Boxer. Outside of work, Cindy enjoys thrift shopping for hidden treasures, jarring up honey from her family’s own bee hives, and relaxing on a boat or jeep ride. She loves the family dynamic at the clinic and finds joy in seeing how much clients care for their pets—and in earning their trust and comfort with every visit.

Megan Holdeman
Registered Veterinary Technician
Megan’s life is a full-time animal adventure! She shares her home with an emu named Twerp, five dogs (Marlin, Savage, Shiloh, Reba, and the guardian Argus), three cats (Cera, Stanlee, and Callie), ten goats, a pig named Pedro, a tortoise named Anastasia, plus chickens, turkeys, ducks, and guinea fowl.
When she’s not caring for her furry and feathered crew, Megan loves spending time outdoors, working on her hobby farm, reading, crafting, and hitting the trails—she dreams of the day she has her own mule to ride. She’s also a big fan of thrifting, antiquing, and finding one-of-a-kind treasures.
Megan is passionate about being a voice for animals and finds joy in helping them heal. The trust pets and their humans place in her—and the bond they share—is what inspires her every day.

Mackenzie Kleier
Registered Veterinary Technician
Mackenzie is a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician and a proud basset hound enthusiast with two lovable hounds of her own—Roscoe and Posie. She takes great pride in her work and finds nothing more rewarding than helping a sick patient recover and return home healthy and happy.
Outside the clinic, Mackenzie loves going off-road riding with her family, catching dirt track races, curling up with a good book, or gaming on her PC. What truly energizes her each day is knowing she’s making a real difference for clients and their pets—because a heartfelt “thank you” means more than words can say.

Katelyn Beck
Veterinary Assistant
Katelyn shares her home with two cats, Reece and Crush, two dogs—Harley the Golden Retriever and Lucky the Australian Shepherd—and two beloved horses, Snoopy and Woodstock. Her days are filled with family, faith, and furry friends.
Outside of work, Katelyn and her husband love cooking together—especially making desserts (cheesecake is her specialty!). She also enjoys reading, relaxing with a good show, and spending quality time with her family.
At work, Katelyn finds inspiration in the relationships built with clients and their pets. She’s passionate about helping animals heal, recover, and live their best lives—and takes pride in being their voice and advocate every step of the way.

Kaylee Rogers
Veterinary Assistant
Kaylee’s life revolves around animals—and she wouldn’t have it any other way! She shares her days with 2 horses (Checkers and Buggs), 3 dogs (Texie, Vincent, and Jasper), 2 pigs, and 4 cats. Her passion for caring for animals shines through in everything she does.
When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll likely find Kaylee horseback riding, camping, or spending time with the people who mean the most to her. What inspires her most about her work is the chance to care for many different types of patients while building lasting relationships with clients. For Kaylee, this isn’t just a job— it’s her life.

Madison McAdams
Veterinary Assistant
Madison is a lifelong animal lover with two dogs, Harper and Ozzie, a flock of hens, and a rooster named Rudie—plus too many cats to count (though her favorite is Pheobe, her grumpy tripod). When she’s not caring for patients, you’ll find her behind a camera, tending to her plants, or thrifting for unique finds. Madison loves spending time at home with her family and animals or exploring the outdoors. Her biggest inspiration at work is seeing a very sick patient return healthy and happy—and the best reward of all is when they remember her with excitement and tail wags.

April Sykes
Client Service Representative
April is one of the friendly voices that greets you at the front desk! She shares her home with her dog, Dutton—whom she rescued and lovingly nursed back to health after several surgeries—and her cat, Baby. April enjoys off-road riding with her family and traveling to new places with her husband and daughter. When she’s not on the go, you’ll find her relaxing at home for family movie nights or spending time with friends. At work, April loves building lasting relationships with clients and their pets, making every visit feel a little more like home.

Meg Slack

Meg brings warmth and heart to every client interaction! She loves connecting with owners and their pets, and believes trust—both given and received—is the foundation of great care. At home, Meg is surrounded by her furry family of dogs, horses, and kitties. She enjoys going on long walks with her dog, binge-watching her favorite shows, and hanging out with friends. What inspires her most at work is seeing patients improve visit by visit—and, of course, getting to love on all the puppies and kittens
